Summer reading book

I chose to read "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald because I heard that there was a movie made about it that was very good and had stayed true to the story.  It has been called a great American novel, a classic and I was interested to know why.

Set in 1922 in a fictional known as West Egg in Long Island, the story is narrated by Nick Carraway and tells of his involvement with the people he meets after moving out east from the Midwest.  Jay Gatsby is a mysterious millionaire quietly in love with Nick's cousin Daisy.  Through a series of events which include fancy parties, cheating husbands and wives, a trip to the Plaza Hotel and tragedies involving a mistaken identity, lives are changed forever.

  1. Great work. I liked how way you gave important details about the story.

  2. you could have added some of the more emotional details of the characters. Also connected those details to everyday life
