My book is Insurgent by Veronica Roth.  The main character of the story is a girl named Beatrice but her friends just call her Tris.  Throughout this book Tris encountered many obstacles some of which was escaping the firm grasp of a society that has been hot on their trail since day 1 of their journey this group has managed to catch them once and hold them for many months as their prisoners.

At the beginning of the book Tris wakes up baffled muttering the name Will, she thane wakes up only to find her dear friend Will lying dead next to her.  Since they had been on the run Tris and her friends decided to run away and ditch the body so that they would not be caught red handed again.  That is just one of many difficulties that Tris faces over the course of this story, another is that Tris is trying to understand who or what did this to her dear freind.  Tris' group consists of four other friends their names are Tobias, Caleb, Peter, and also Marcus all of them are taking the loss of their friend Will very difficultly except for one Marcus who doesn't seem happy that he is dead but he's trying to mask his emotions and I think that they are all starting to become suspicious of Marcus.

Summer reading book

I chose to read "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald because I heard that there was a movie made about it that was very good and had stayed true to the story.  It has been called a great American novel, a classic and I was interested to know why.

Set in 1922 in a fictional known as West Egg in Long Island, the story is narrated by Nick Carraway and tells of his involvement with the people he meets after moving out east from the Midwest.  Jay Gatsby is a mysterious millionaire quietly in love with Nick's cousin Daisy.  Through a series of events which include fancy parties, cheating husbands and wives, a trip to the Plaza Hotel and tragedies involving a mistaken identity, lives are changed forever.
